SRDA program
Richmond and Union Plaza apartments
97 apartments in two complexes next to the senior center downtown, run with the City of Pueblo and the Pueblo Housing Authority for people who need supportive services.
Call about renting
(719) 542-6741Pueblo Housing Authority
The Housing Authority handles rentals for both complexes.
What it is
97 units across two complexes, Richmond Plaza and Union Plaza, adjacent to the Joseph H. Edwards Active Adult Center downtown. The housing is a collaboration between SRDA, the City of Pueblo, and the Pueblo Housing Authority, for people who need supportive services close at hand.
Living next door to the senior center means the meals, classes, and services on this site are a short walk away rather than a van ride.
[ Answered ]
How subsidized senior housing actually works in Pueblo, and the full list of places to call.
The question we'd ask SRDA: How does a senior actually get into subsidized housing here?
What we were told: The Housing Authority keeps the waitlist for its seven subsidized buildings, and a waitlist must be open before you can add your name. The lists are mostly closed, so you watch the Housing Authority's website and social media for an announcement that a list has opened, get your name on quickly, and then expect around a year before a unit comes up, if you are lucky. SRDA handed over the full housing list below. Told in person at SRDA, August 26, 2026, with a printed housing handout.
[ Open question ]
Still open: current rents at each building, which waitlists are open right now, and whether residents' transportation needs differ from countywide riders'.
The question we'd ask SRDA: Which waitlists are open today, and what does each building rent for?
